Course Description

*** Please note IMPORTANT CHANGE TO PAYMENT INFORMATION at the bottom of this page - please book directly via tutor *** After Nero’s death there was absolute chaos, as the ambitious leaders of the time fought to take the role of Emperor. Anyone who thought the end of Nero would mean a return to stability was sorely mistaken! We’ll be looking at the four men who took the role over the next year and a half, and what this meant for Rome. We’ll question why each wanted the role, and why he thought himself the man for the job; what qualities and actions made each more or less suitable for the role; and how peace was finally brought and maintained. This course is suitable for anyone with an interest in the subject, and supports the A-Level Ancient History period study on Rome (the Julio-Claudian Emperors). *** IMPORTANT PAYMENT INFORMATION *** The cost for the course is £66. Instead of booking through the TMU website, please pay the course tutor directly: 1. Via BACS transfer - please email thinkers.jo@protonmail.com to receive an invoice 2. Or via PayPal to: jo.cogan@protonmail.com Please specify in your payment reference what it is for, eg. 'Tom B. Cancellation Policy

All our classes require a minimum number of Thinkers to run. As soon as enough Thinkers sign up you will receive an e-mail from the Scholar running your class with a link to your virtual classroom. If we cannot gather enough thinkers to run a class we will, sadly, have to cancel and/or reschedule. If this is the case, we will e-mail 24 hours before your class is scheduled to start to let you know. To help ensure that your class does take place, please invite others to join you. We find that word of mouth is the best way to let new families know about Thinkers Meet Up. Thank you!
