Course Description
Latin Level 2 – Go Deeper Into the Ancient World This online class is designed for Thinkers who have completed Latin for Beginners and are ready to take their skills further. Building on the foundations of phonology, morphology, and syntax, Level 2 guides them into more complex and rewarding territory. They'll expand their grammatical knowledge, tackling more advanced structures and a richer vocabulary, before moving on to reading longer, more sophisticated Latin texts. From there, they'll develop the fluency to engage with authentic ancient writing, unlocking literature, history, and ideas directly from the source. By the end, Thinkers will have a growing understanding of Latin language and the tools to explore the ancient world on their own terms. Along the way they will go further into ancient history, examining cultures, art, literature and more in greater depth than ever before. Through this course Thinkers will gain: Greater linguistic precision - Advanced grammar sharpens the ability to analyse and interpret complex texts with confidence. An expanded vocabulary - Deeper knowledge of Latin roots strengthens command of English and other European languages. Advanced reading comprehension - Engaging with real Latin texts builds exceptional attention to language and meaning. Richer historical insight - Level 2 opens new perspectives on the civilisations, laws, and philosophies that shaped the modern world. Cancellation Policy
All our classes require a minimum number of Thinkers to run. As soon as enough Thinkers sign up you will receive an e-mail from the Scholar running your class with a link to your virtual classroom. If we cannot gather enough thinkers to run a class we will, sadly, have to cancel and/or reschedule. If this is the case, we will e-mail 24 hours before your class is scheduled to start to let you know. To help ensure that your class does take place, please invite others to join you. We find that word of mouth is the best way to let new families know about Thinkers Meet Up. Thank you!
