Introduction to Politics

Service Description

This will be fun and interactive introduction to politics for young Thinkers. We will go between political theory and political science - looking at ideas and at the institutions of different countries. Asking questions about what would be the best way to run a government, and learning the history of different countries. 1. Session 1: Do we need a government? If so, who should be in control - kings, democracies, dictators? 2. Voting and elections. 3. Comparing and contrasting governments: (possibly UK, USA, China but up to Thinkers). 4. The international system - search for peace, globalisation, and liberation. 5. Political ideologies - what are all these 'isms? ** Please note, there will be NO class on May 7th.

Cancellation Policy

We will do our utmost to ensure every booked class takes place. However, we strongly believe in the value of conversation between thinkers. Thus, we will not run a class with less than the minimum number of students. If we do not have a full group 24 hours before the class is set to start we will, sadly, cancel the session, refund all participants, and seek to run the class at a different time.
