Service Description

Course structure: How Plants Move The World Beneath Plants Mutualism Plants and Pests Plant Survival This five-week course is the advanced series of our Plant Biology course; following on from the Basic Plant biology course. Thinkers do not need to have taken the Basic course in order to take the Advanced course, but do need to have an insight into how the basics of plants work. Thinkers can book onto one of the courses or both. This course in plant biology will explore the fascinating world of plants, also bringing to light the vital part they play in nature. Over five weeks we will try to understand what it is that makes plants different from other organisms and how they are an essential form of life in our planet. By the end of this course you should have an insight into the basics of how plants work, while also making links between plant biology and other subjects such as nature studies and geography. The classes will be in the format of lectures with videos and discussions, and include a quiz. The students will gain skills of reasoning and questioning, problem solving, and learn some scientific language that enable them to think critically. We will also try to have a hands-on experience of plants by finding certain specimens and observing them carefully.

Cancellation Policy

We will do our utmost to ensure every booked class takes place. However, we strongly believe in the value of conversation between thinkers. Thus, we will not run a class with less than the minimum number of students. If we do not have a full group 24 hours before the class is set to start we will, sadly, cancel the session, refund all participants, and seek to run the class at a different time. Our full booking and cancellation policy can be found in our Terms and Services.
