Murray
I studied English Literature and French at university, did a Post Graduate Diploma and MA in Print Journalism and then spent more than 10 years as a journalist, writing for local newspapers in London, The Guardian newspaper, and national and regional magazines such as Health Plus and Berkshire Life. I also worked as a press officer for the National Trust and English Touring Opera; telling the media and the public about all the fantastic things my companies were doing.

I have used my journalistic experience in my second career as a teacher by setting up a very successful school newspaper, written and created solely by pupils. I love helping young thinkers to learn the skills needed to create their own newspaper and discuss their opinions of concepts such as ‘news worthy’ and ‘the public interest’.

As well as teaching French, German and Spanish, I enjoy singing with a choir, reading, writing, cooking, sewing and walking in the woods with my husband and daughter.
