Latin Taster (2)

(Age 7-11) Try out a class to see if you’d like to learn Latin! In this session we’ll be introducing the Latin language in the context of the Roman world and how it still influences us, by looking at the calendar we use today. What are the stories behind each month’s name? Why is July named after Julius Caesar? We’ll be looking at the Latin roots of some English words, and introducing some Latin vocabulary and grammar, as well as taking a look into the world of the Romans.
