Age 10 - 13, meets four times
Service Description
Join us for a weekly science chat! A time for a deep dive into interesting scientific areas, current scientific events and fascinating facts. Themes set each week to start discussions with an investigative task given to follow up. Ideal for deep scientific thinkers and those interested in the world around us.Have you done an experiment? Come show us! Do you have a question about science? Come discuss it! Do you have a fascinating topic you just cannot speak enough about? This is the place we want to hear about it! We are trying to create a space where our young scientists can grow and be inspired, where they can expand their knowledge, and where they can share their passions. Each week in this club Thinkers will have time to share their interests and findings, to ask questions, and to discuss current events linked to science. The club will be Thinker-led - we might discuss astronomy one week and cells the next! Stuart, our Science Scholar who leads this sessions, is a well-known science teacher and science enthusiast. He loves giving Thinkers space to explore ideas and science and is always ready with new ideas and information to explore as well.
Cancellation Policy
All our classes require a minimum number of Thinkers to run. As soon as enough Thinkers sign up you will receive an e-mail from the Scholar running your class with a link to your virtual classroom. If we cannot gather enough thinkers to run a class we will, sadly, have to cancel and/or reschedule. If this is the case, we will e-mail 24 hours before your class is scheduled to start to let you know. To help ensure that your class does take place, please invite others to join you. We find that word of mouth is the best way to let new families know about Thinkers Meet Up. Thank you!
