Course Description
Edexcel, Module 2, GCSE Maths. This online TMU Foundation Mathematics course follows the Pearson Edexcel specification and prepares students for the modular examination system. Classes meet twice weekly on Mondays and Fridays at 10am, providing structured learning with regular instructor interaction and peer support. This course will cover the whole curriculum. Thinkers will develop fundamental skills in problem-solving, mathematical reasoning, and practical applications relevant to everyday life and further education. The modular format allows for focused learning on specific topics with assessment at the end of the year (as opposed to other GCSEs which only have an exam at the end of the curriculum, requiring students to review more topics at once) (To learn more you can go here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KrDuY_tdFkw). TMU classes will cover the curriculum through worked examples, and collaborative problem-solving activities. Thinkers will receive personalised feedback and support to build confidence and mathematical fluency. This course is ideal for Thinkers seeking to strengthen their mathematical foundation, whether preparing for further study, career advancement, or personal development. . Class will be kept to under 5 Thinkers to ensure students can get the necessary support. This class requires a minimum of three Thinkers to run (or fees will need to be adjusted). (As with all our IGCSE/GCSE classes assignments will be given to Thinkers, and those who complete these will be given feedback. Also, as with all TMU courses age is a rough indication - if you think this course is right for your Thinker, whatever their age, contact us! Some Thinkers might also want to undertake this course without planning to take exams - they are very welcomed).
Cancellation Policy
All our classes require a minimum number of Thinkers to run. As soon as enough Thinkers sign up you will receive an e-mail from the Scholar running your class with a link to your virtual classroom. If we cannot gather enough thinkers to run a class we will, sadly, have to cancel and/or reschedule. If this is the case, we will e-mail 24 hours before your class is scheduled to start to let you know. To help ensure that your class does take place, please invite others to join you. We find that word of mouth is the best way to let new families know about Thinkers Meet Up. Thank you!
