Service Description

In this course we will research and learn about the concepts listed in the IGCSE environmental management specification (Cambridge IGCSE code 0680). The aim of this course is to learn using discovery and research. We will look at some of the longer exam questions in IGCSE environmental management and use our knowledge and skills to research the answer and make sure that our knowledge covers all the parts of the IGCSE specification. Please note the course will be taught through research, experimentation, demonstrations, and discussion. We will aim to make this course as interactive and engaging as possible. This course is great for people preparing for IGCSE exams or just looking to learn more about living things and wanting to develop their higher order thinking, analysis, research, and communication skills. IGCSE environmental management is crafted to educate students on sustainable development within a context where human activities threaten the stability of essential resources and life-support systems. It incorporates knowledge from fields like biology, Earth science, geography, and economics. Students will explore the Earth’s natural systems and human utilization of these resources. They will then examine how human expansion affects the environment and discover strategies for managing the environment sustainably, both locally and globally. This course takes 1 year. In order to prepare for the exam, independent weekly work from your Thinker will be required. This course, like all our IGCSE courses, includes exam questions, and mock exams. NB Thinkers Meet Up will provide a course that covers the all the curriculum content and more. We will work to develop critical thinking and inspire and promote independent research. We can advise when we feel students are ready to succeed in an exam - in terms of content knowledge and exam-skill maturity. It is the parents' responsibility, however, to find an exam centre and register their Thinker for the exam.

Cancellation Policy

We will do our utmost to ensure every booked class takes place. However, we strongly believe in the value of conversation between thinkers. Thus, we will not run a class with less than the minimum number of students. If we do not have a full group 24 hours before the class is set to start we will, sadly, cancel the session, refund all participants, and seek to run the class at a different time. Our full booking and cancellation policy can be found in our Terms and Services.
