English Language IGCSE and Fun, Block 6

Service Description
Whether your Thinkers want to prepare for upcoming exams, or just delve deeper into the intriguing layers of language, this course will encourage participation, critical thinking, and constant decoding of the 'puzzle' that is the language all around them. Join Caroline to explore and enjoy as you work to improve your mastery of the English Language. This group of courses 'English Language IGCSE and Fun' are structured to cover all the elements of the IGCSE English curriculum and more. Students are invited to sign up for all the blocks or for any one block individually and enjoy. Each block is self-contained so you can join at any time, and in each block you will explore and expand different skills, and review ones you have previously learned, to gain confidence and mastery in your use of the language of Shakespeare, Joyce, Morrison, Austen... and so many more! Our Scholar Caroline notes: "Having taught a wide range of exam boards, I am well-armed with the skills to be able to enthuse and engage learners, helping them to read deeply and for meaning, write for a variety of audiences, while also (hopefully!) finding a love and appreciation for the spoken, written, and typed word!"
Cancellation Policy
All our classes require a minimum number of Thinkers to run. As soon as enough Thinkers sign up you will receive an e-mail from the Scholar running your class with a link to your virtual classroom. If we cannot gather enough thinkers to run a class we will, sadly, have to cancel and/or reschedule. If this is the case, we will e-mail 24 hours before your class is scheduled to start to let you know. To help ensure that your class does take place, please invite others to join you. We find that word of mouth is the best way to let new families know about Thinkers Meet Up. Thank you!
