Engineering is not only about great ideas, but how you apply them to solve real-world problems. Through my personal experience studying and working as an engineer, I’ve seen how creativity in solving problems can really make the difference from an average to a great engineer. Inspiration can come for the unlikeliest places, and broadening your knowledge in various different topics will help build a balanced and creative mindset. In this course we will explore the inception and evolution of key mathematical and engineering topics that help shape our lives today. These topics may seem daunting at first, but every lesson will begin with the essential background knowledge and the topics are broken down into digestible parts as we build up your knowledge at your pace. Topics include: Compliant or “bendy” mechanisms Mechanical movements & gears Biomimicry (Using nature for design inspiration) Turbulent & Laminar Flow How we calculate Pi Infinity The Collatz Conjecture
We will do our utmost to ensure every booked class takes place. However, we strongly believe in the value of conversation between thinkers. Thus, we will not run a class with less than the minimum number of students. If we do not have a full group 24 hours before the class is set to start we will, sadly, cancel the session, refund all participants, and seek to run the class at a different time. Our full booking and cancellation policy can be found in our Terms and Services.
