Angie is a former teacher of science and mathematics, with more than 30 years experience in the classroom. With a bachelors degree in Maths and Chemistry, she initially taught Chemistry to A level and GCSE, but has branched out to teach both maths and physics to GCSE and design & technology, maths and science at primary level. She developed a keen interest in engineering education, particularly with the goal of encouraging girls to consider it as a career, and set up and run STEM clubs including Young Engineers, SciTech and Imagineering. Angie is now a freelance tutor and trainer, facilitating STEM workshops and CPD for STEM education. She enjoys listening to and playing classical music; she is a French horn player, playing in local bands and orchestras. She likes to read crime fiction, enjoys walking in the countryside and has two cats.
