Andrew Lowe

It was at secondary school that I first discovered my love for Latin and the Classics. I was lucky enough to have some outstanding teachers who encouraged me to further my studies of Classics up to university level. There, I graduated with a BA in 2012, and a postgrad diploma in 2014 – which I converted into a masters in 2018.

I first started teaching at a sixth form college in 2013, teaching Classical Civilisation at A Level. Since then, as well as teaching, I have examined for both major exam boards – giving me an invaluable insight into what markers are looking for from pupils.

Outside the classroom, I’m fortunate enough to live in a place within easy reach of the countryside and the Pennines, so you can often find me walking in the local area. Although, I have to confess, I’m a bit of a fair-weather walker!
